So here’s a challenge. I already feel intimidated.

how bored do you have to be... ?  →
Two uncharitable thoughts - how bored do you have to be to set something like this up?  - how much of that equipment is commercially justified, and how much is simply a hobiests collection?  I told you they were uncharitable thoughts.  Finally - how about we stop these stupid stunts? The idea has been done to death now… doesn’t matter if you set it up with different objects etc,...

self-promotion from web-builder →
So, you promote yourself with a web-page with no navigation, no frills, no ‘about’ and virtually no links and you have to read it through to get to how to contact him? Sheer cheek. Love it. Except the bit about fungal infection.  alittlebitofsomething.co.uk

Really moving. Luckily it wasn’t needed, but one day a human will be stranded in space.

"Bruise Pristine"Placebo
“Bruise Pristine” The means are right for taking, fade to grey Trying to be ruthless, in the face of beauty In this matrix, it’s plain to see It’s either you or me. Bruise, pristine, serene, we were born to lose. Cast a line with a velvet glove Reading like an open book, in the hands of love In this matrix, it’s plain to see It’s either you or me. Bruise,...

Unfriend
Greg Scott Brown Unfriend  A new word to explain  technology’s mad love for impermanence.  Bugs trapped in quicksilver, no one survives our enthusiasm. This is why we tweet all the livelong effing day about who we no longer adore, attend to, or make immortal in some corner of our half-pint universe, those five-thousand intimates  a click away from being unsung. Because society is work, the...

2 poems - an obit and a disagreement around Sinead... →
from Greg Scott Brown, who I’d never heard of. Something of the street, the conversation, the throught-through grabs me, and I like the attraction/repulsion conclusion of the Sinead poem. One to watch.

The Hike Guy →
I love obsession and dedication. The Hike Guy has both. Plus a sense of humour. See his PCT adventure in 3 mins video, but especially his Moleskine journals. I love the thought of journals, but can’t quite keep one myself, and I adore Moleskine, anything Moleskine. And the outdoors. So Mr Hike Guy scores a number of times.

RAF helicopter death revelation leads to secret... →
an anonymous Chinook crew member and a young trooper show amazing courage, the rest - MOD, RAF, US and OZ forces seem to have been involved in illegal brutality and an on-going cover-up, including keeping the trooper under an injunction. Nothing justifies the treatment of the 70 year old woman or killing detainees. Horrific stuff.
